OK, which one of you hacked dkos DNS?

Kos had DNS problems the last ~36 hours...
Well, the early word (and it's still being investigated) is that there was an attempt to hijack the dailykos.com domain. When GoDaddy tried to contact me about it, their email got stuck in my spam filter. I never got it, and with conflicting reports of domain ownership and no response from me, they locked down the domain. So those of you with conspiracy theories may have been right all along. I'll update as soon as GoDaddy finishes its investigation and reports back.
so ok, which one of you did this!?Just a little joke there... if this hack turns out to be politically motivated that still reflects only on the person(s) responsible for the attack, and not on supposed ideological compatriots and allies.
Please rest assured this is just a way to bring up the issues involved... guilt by association, the news of a DNS hit on a widely read political blog... and not an actual accusation. I feel quite sure this is not the sort of tactic espoused here. OTOH I expect the culprit, if it bears out as a malicious event, may be found at certain other conservative sites... LGF or Free Republic.
Anyone remember when y'all criticized dkos when one of it's readers posted a short perl script to flood a right leaning internet popularity poll?
Care to weigh in on this?
Someone really did carry off a DNS hijack in which case GoDaddy should be able to do a full post-mortem, which DKos should post, because if so, it's a potentially very serious problem. I haven't seen a successful domain hijack of a site as large as DKos in a long time.
The other possibility consists of two words:
"Reichstag. Fire."
My instinct would be to kill any and all further speculation about this event -- completely -- until a full investigation is done by Markos and his hosting providers and the entire story is fully known. Nobody should have to suffer through a DNS hijack and then have waves of rampant speculation to contend with on top of it.
very reasonable... mine was idle speculation, but I will indeed watch and expect a followup, kos put this on the front page and should put the results on the front page... especially if it turns out it's just regular GoDaddy quality of service.
yes, those people went too far, and I remember this issue. Of course the left side of the blogophere was able to track down their own stories as well, and it reflects poorly on those that use such tactics, but perhaps well on America how limited their affect is.

Whoever hacked the site acted improperly. As are all politically motivated assaults on free speech. And I can think of a few other people who went too far as well.
